Global apparel retailer UNIQLO has announced the launch of the UNIQLO F.RISSO 2026 Knitwear Capsule Collection, the brand’s second collaboration with designer Francesco Risso following their Summer 2026 capsule.
The collection brings together Risso’s playful and unconventional design approach with modern silhouettes and vibrant colours enabled by 3D knit technology. Built around the theme “Made for Dreaming”, the capsule translates the designer’s distinctive creative world into versatile everyday knitwear.
Where Technology Meets Craftsmanship
For Risso, the collection explores the contrast between advanced knitting technology and the irregular qualities traditionally associated with handmade garments. The designer focuses on using precise machine-made construction to recreate the depth, texture and character of hand-crafted knitwear.
The 3D knit technique creates garments as a single piece, resulting in smooth construction and sculptural silhouettes. This approach also gives the collection a refined shape while maintaining a soft and comfortable feel.
Playful Colours and Genderless Silhouettes
Inspired by vintage knitwear, the collection features genderless styles designed to allow individual expression. Signature two-tone colour blocking adds visual contrast and gives each piece a distinctive character.
The range includes turtleneck, mock neck and polo sweaters made from an ultra-fine merino wool blend. The material offers a lightweight feel while providing warmth for winter dressing.
The capsule also introduces more voluminous silhouettes, including V-neck and boat-neck sweaters. These shapes add a sculptural quality to the collection while maintaining an easy-to-wear approach.
To complement the knitwear, HEATTECH socks and beanies provide additional winter styling options.
Beanies and socks are not 3D knit items. Some parts of the products are sewn for reinforcement and to attach labels and other components.
