Türkmentextile Expo 2026 Opens in Ashgabat

The international exhibition and fair “Türkmentextile Expo – 2026” has officially opened in Ashgabat, highlighting the development and potential of Turkmenistan’s textile industry and its growing international engagement.

Held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the exhibition brings together stakeholders from across the textile value chain, offering a platform to showcase industry achievements, introduce new products, and strengthen global business partnerships.

High-Level Participation at Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony took place at the square in front of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended by senior government officials, members of the Mejlis, representatives of ministries and departments, diplomatic missions, international organisations, and media representatives.

Participants also heard a welcoming address from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who highlighted the importance of combining national textile heritage with modern innovation and technology to enhance product identity and global competitiveness.

Focus on Heritage and Innovation

According to the presidential message, Turkmenistan’s textile strategy emphasises blending traditional craftsmanship with advanced production technologies. This approach aims to preserve cultural identity while improving the quality, value, and international appeal of textile products.

The initiative is also expected to contribute to strengthening international cooperation and further developing the domestic textile sector.

Exhibitors and Industry Participation

The exhibition features around 110 exhibitors, including enterprises under the Ministry of Textile Industry, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and international companies.

Participants are showcasing a wide range of products and services, including textile machinery, dyes, chemicals, raw materials, packaging materials, and production technologies. The event also highlights opportunities for collaboration between domestic manufacturers and global suppliers.

Strengthening International Textile Cooperation

Türkmentextile Expo 2026 serves as a key platform for networking and business development within the global textile industry. The event is expected to facilitate new partnerships and support the exchange of technology and expertise across markets.

The exhibition will continue until 6 June 2026, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and buyers from across regions.
