Epson has announced the launch of the Monna Lisa ML-18000, the newest high-performance model in its flagship digital textile printer series. Built to meet the rising demands of modern textile production, the ML-18000 delivers outstanding speed, color depth, and sustainability — making it a pivotal solution for the evolving needs of the fashion, home décor, and soft signage industries.

At the core of the ML-18000 are 18 PrecisionCore® MicroTFP printheads, enabling exceptional print speeds of up to 252 sqm/h in 2-pass mode, while maintaining superior image clarity and depth. A notable upgrade is its double black ink configuration, which improves black density and cost-efficiency, particularly for darker or monochrome designs.

The ML-18000 also integrates Epson’s Advanced Precision Dot Technology, featuring enhanced halftone layering and microweave patterns to reduce banding and graininess — essential for intricate and high-resolution textile designs. Epson’s Edge Print PRO X software with Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) ensures high-speed, accurate rendering for even the most complex patterns.

Demonstrating Epson’s sustainability mission, the printer comes equipped with an Integrated Water Recycling Unit, reducing water usage and waste by filtering and reusing water for belt-cleaning. This eco-conscious feature helps textile manufacturers meet wastewater regulations while significantly cutting down operational resource needs.

Adding to its environmentally responsible profile, the ML-18000 uses GENESTA Reactive Inks, which are ECO PASSPORT and GOTS-certified, making them suitable for conscious textile printing.

Other features include:

  • Dual 10L ink tanks

  • Automated maintenance tools

  • Epson Cloud Solution PORT for remote monitoring

  • High-resolution output up to 1200 dpi

  • Compatibility with diverse fabrics like silk, cotton, polyester, and blends

“The Monna Lisa ML-18000 is a next-generation digital textile printing solution designed to meet the growing demand for high-speed, high-quality, and sustainable printing,” said Satyajeet Satpathy, Director – Sales & Marketing, Epson India. “It empowers businesses to thrive in a competitive landscape while championing sustainable production.”
