Myntra Expands Desigual’s Presence in India with Launch of Apparel Collection

Myntra has strengthened its international fashion portfolio with the launch of Barcelona-based fashion label Desigual’s apparel collection in India. The introduction builds on the brand’s debut on the platform last year with accessories, handbags and backpacks, marking the next phase of Desigual’s expansion in the Indian market.

The newly introduced collection features around 90 styles across key categories including dresses, denim and jackets. Designed around Desigual’s distinctive aesthetic, the range showcases vibrant colours, graphic knitwear, statement outerwear and contemporary silhouettes that reflect the brand’s emphasis on creativity and self-expression.

Established in Barcelona in 1984, Desigual has built a global reputation for its colourful designs, artistic prints, patchwork detailing and asymmetrical styling. Positioned within the accessible luxury segment, the brand caters to consumers looking for fashion that bridges mainstream trends and premium design while offering a bold and individualistic identity.

Through its collaboration with Myntra, Desigual aims to expand its visibility among India’s digitally connected fashion consumers. The platform’s audience of more than 75 million monthly active users provides the brand with access to shoppers who actively seek international labels. Desigual also plans to introduce seasonal collections throughout the year, further expanding its product offering in the country.

Commenting on the launch, Venu Nair, Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Omnichannel at Myntra, said the positive response to Desigual’s accessories highlighted the growing demand for international fashion among Indian consumers. He added that expanding the partnership to include apparel reinforces Myntra’s strategy of helping global brands strengthen their presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion markets through extensive consumer reach and market insights.

The launch comes as international brands continue to gain momentum on Myntra, with Tier 2 cities accounting for 45 per cent of demand for global labels. The trend reflects increasing interest in premium and design-led fashion beyond metropolitan markets, while Myntra’s portfolio of more than 500 international brands continues to cater to evolving consumer preferences across India.
