Zara Collaborates with British Red Cross Stores, Offering Discounted Clothing

In various British Red Cross stores across the UK, you’ll discover a surprising collection of Zara clothing. Through a partnership with the brand, these charity shops sell brand new Zara clothes, complete with tags, at significantly reduced prices – often half the original retail cost.

While exploring the Red Cross shop in Worcester and other branches across Birmingham, like Newtown, Kings Heath, Handsworth, and Acocks Green, I found a wide array of Zara items. From vibrant satin slip dresses to cozy wool jumpers and chic knee-high leather boots, the collection caters to diverse tastes, especially during the festive season.

Despite the tempting discounts – like leather boots priced at £60 instead of £119 – I managed to limit my purchases due to the proximity to Christmas. However, the range and quality of Zara garments available at such affordable rates are impressive.

Although not every item in these charity shops is from Zara, you can typically find dedicated sections or rails showcasing the brand’s clothing in mint condition. The availability might vary in terms of sizes, but the selection is diverse, offering various colours and styles of the same garment.

This unique discovery of discounted Zara clothing at the Red Cross stores was initially made in Wales, where I scored a red satin dress for £14 and a pair of sandals for £17 – both significantly less than their original prices.

The reason behind this unexpected find is Zara’s commitment to sustainability. The brand initiated a pre-loved service last year, aiming to promote circularity by enabling UK shoppers to resell, repair, or donate their clothing. As part of this initiative, donated Zara garments are channelled to British Red Cross stores for resale across their outlets.
