Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 to Spotlight Global Yarn and Fibre Innovation
Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will return to Shanghai from 25 to 27 August, bringing together leading international exhibitors to showcase the latest developments in yarns and fibres as global demand continues to evolve towards sustainability, performance and production efficiency.
Serving as a key sourcing platform for the global textile value chain, the exhibition will feature suppliers offering natural, synthetic and blended materials for applications across apparel, home textiles, medical textiles and industrial products. The event aims to provide buyers with access to a diverse range of sourcing options while reflecting the industry’s growing emphasis on responsible manufacturing and material innovation.
With global fibre production projected to increase from 132 million tonnes to 169 million tonnes by 2030, demand for high-quality and sustainable raw materials continues to rise. Buyers are increasingly seeking fibres that combine functionality with environmental responsibility, including cotton, cellulose, plant-based fibres, regenerated textile fibres and wool.
The exhibition will host a diverse international exhibitor base representing major textile-producing regions. Among the confirmed participants are PT. Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk (Indonesia) and The Lurex (UK), alongside leading suppliers specialising in cotton, flax, wool and recycled synthetic fibres.
Featured exhibitors include:
- Cotton Council International (USA): Promoting high-quality American cotton and cotton yarns for apparel, home textiles and technical textile applications.
- Importeer International Company Limited (Vietnam): Supplying raw cotton, cotton fibres and yarns with a focus on sustainable sourcing and high-performance spinning.
- Perino by Woolyarns (New Zealand): Showcasing premium blended yarns produced from New Zealand wool and brushtail possum fibres for knitting, weaving and commercial textiles.
- Sematex For Flax Products (Egypt): Presenting flax fibres, linen yarns and eco-friendly textile materials for apparel, home textiles and technical applications.
- Toray Industries Inc. (Japan): Displaying advanced polyester, nylon and recycled performance fibres featuring moisture management, antimicrobial properties and high durability.
Reflecting on the previous edition, Jimad Khan, International Sales & Marketing Manager at Perino by Woolyarns, highlighted the growing demand for natural fibres driven by European traceability regulations and increasing quality expectations in China, noting the exhibition’s importance in connecting businesses across the textile supply chain.
Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will be held alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC, and PH Value, creating a comprehensive platform that brings together the fibre, fabric, apparel and knitwear sectors under one roof to maximise sourcing and business opportunities.
The exhibition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT.
