Yarn Expo Autumn 2025 is set to take place from 2–4 September at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai, alongside Intertextile Apparel Fabrics. With over 540 global exhibitors and 22,000 visitors from 81 countries in the last edition, the show remains a premier platform for yarn and fibre sourcing. This year’s event places special emphasis on sustainable and functional innovations to meet rising global demand.

Wilmet Shea, GM of Messe Frankfurt (HK), underlined the event’s role in promoting sustainability and innovation during uncertain economic times. The show aligns with global projections, with the yarn, fibre, and thread market expected to reach USD 138.8 billion by 2029. Last year’s event saw success with focused zones such as the India Pavilion and International Zone, reflecting high sourcing priorities in regenerated, cotton, synthetic, and speciality yarns.

Industry voices like Shanti Rayons and Thai Acrylic Fibre praised the event’s commitment to sustainability and international engagement. Exhibitors shared positive feedback on networking and product discovery, including innovations like seaweed-based yarns.

As the top global exporter and importer of yarns, China plays a central role in this growing market, alongside India, Italy, and Türkiye. The upcoming edition will coincide with Cinte Techtextil China (3–5 September), creating cross-sector synergy by combining fibre, apparel, technical textiles, and fashion under one roof.
