Textiles Recycling Expo 2026 is set to return for its second edition on 24–25 June 2026 at Brussels Expo, bringing together leading organisations driving the transition towards industrial-scale textile circularity and recycling solutions.
As the global textile industry faces increasing pressure to improve recycling infrastructure, scale circular systems, and comply with evolving sustainability regulations, the event will focus on practical implementation and commercially viable solutions across the textile value chain.
This year’s conference programme will feature speakers from major global organisations and brands including On, H&M, DHL, Volkswagen, Shein, Textile Exchange, Fashion for Good, United Nations Environment Programme, EURATEX, European Environment Agency, and European Commission.
A key focus of the 2026 programme will be the industry’s transition from pilot initiatives to scalable operational systems capable of commercially supporting textile recycling and circularity.
Among the featured speakers is Maximilian Köhnlein, who will discuss the future of recycled, stretch, and bio-based elastane materials. High-performance apparel continues to present major recycling challenges due to fibre blends and technical performance requirements, prompting brands to integrate recyclability considerations directly into product design.
Julie-Marlène Pelissier will address topics including recycled fibre integration, demand creation for next-generation materials, and navigating Europe’s rapidly evolving regulatory landscape for sustainable textiles.
Logistics and reverse supply chains will also form a significant part of the discussions. Rebecca Howes is expected to highlight how textile collection, consolidation, and waste flow management are becoming essential infrastructure components within scaling circular systems.
Cross-industry collaboration will emerge as another major theme at the event. Dr. Thomas Große will explore automotive applications for recycled textiles and the growing role of non-fashion industries in supporting end-market demand for recycled materials.
Policy and extended producer responsibility will also feature prominently, with Gail Orton contributing to discussions around the future regulatory framework shaping textile circularity across Europe.
Alongside the conference programme, the expo floor will host more than 160 exhibitors presenting innovations in textile collection systems, sorting technologies, fibre regeneration, recycling machinery, traceability platforms, AI-powered automation, and circular material development.
Additional highlights at the event include the Textiles Recycling Awards, the Reju VIP Lounge, the expanded Industry Alliance Hub, networking sessions, and access to the Future Fabrics Expo, all taking place under one roof.
Registration for the event is open free of charge to industry attendees.
