For Eternity, Tarun Tahiliani’s contemporary wedding collection, condensed classic luxury into cutting-edge shapes for both men and women. The fashion week’s fifth day, July 29, was when the presentation was held.

Tahiliani’s menswear was richly decorated with traditional themes this season, yet it was updated with softer forms that broke from rigid convention. Backless blouses for women that included draped jewellery accents and embellishments like small butterflies gave form-fitting lehengas a delightful touch. The collection had detailed sequin and beading, and several outfits included 3D plant appliqués.

The brand revealed on Instagram that PMJ Jewels and Shree Jee Jaipur provided the jewellery. Both companies offered a selection of bold pieces of fine jewellery, such as PMJ Jewels’ chokers covered in gemstones. In order to emphasise the collective effort of the collection, Tahiliani invited his design team out on stage to take a bow at the end of the show.

India Couture Week, now in its 16th season, is held around New Delhi, including the Taj Palace. The Fashion Design Council of India’s event takes place from July 25 to August 2 and, continuing a practise that started during the pandemic, the fashion presentations are aired online so that anybody can watch.

Hyundai is the event’s title sponsor, and Reliance Brands and Hyundai work together to produce India Couture Week. Rimzim Dadu, Gaurav Gupta, Dolly J, Falguni Shane Peacock, and Ritu Kumar are a few of the 16 designers taking part at fashion week.
