Snapdeal’s Bharat Swagotsav Sale Records 60% Growth; Fashion Surges 94%

Snapdeal wrapped up its Bharat Swagotsav Sale on a record high, achieving 60% overall growth compared to last year’s festive season.

Held in two phases between 19th September and 11th October, the sale celebrated fashion, value, and the Swadeshi spirit, offering lakhs of products across apparel, accessories, home, beauty, food, and festive essentials.

Fashion emerged as the top-performing category, rising 94% year-on-year. Men’s apparel recorded a massive 190% growth, while women’s ethnic wear rose 110%, fueled by strong demand for sarees, kurta sets, and Indo-fusion looks. Categories like handbags, kidswear, women’s accessories, and toys also saw sales more than double.

Reflecting Snapdeal’s Bharat-first focus, non-metro cities such as Bhiwadi, Sriperumbudur, Bhadrak, Khanna, Bhiwandi, Dahod, Badlapur, Jhalawar, and Sardana reported over 100% growth in sales volume.

Seller clusters in Surat, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Panipat, Agra, and Moradabad also saw a sharp rise in orders, showcasing the strength of Snapdeal’s Bharat seller ecosystem. These small and medium businesses expanded into new markets, reaching millions of value-seeking shoppers.

Throughout both phases, customers enjoyed festive offers like Tehalka @ ₹30 deals, Loot Hours, and curated festive collections featuring karwa chauth essentials, Diwali décor, jewellery, and gifting hampers. Snapdeal also collaborated with Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, Paytm, PhonePe, BHIM UPI, and Bajaj Finserv for instant discounts and cashbacks.

To further engage fashion-conscious buyers, Snapdeal hosted an in-house fashion show where team members modeled apparel from its diverse collection—proving that style and affordability can go hand in hand.

Achint Setia, CEO, Snapdeal, said:

“The roaring success of Bharat Swagotsav proves that when trendy fashion meets value pricing, India celebrates in style! From small towns to big metros, shoppers embraced fashionable products at honest prices with festive fervour. Powered by our seller partners across manufacturing hubs, the event truly celebrated Bharat’s festive spirit.”

Built on Bharat’s core values of frugality, practicality, and aspiration, Snapdeal continues to empower millions of shoppers with access to quality products at honest prices, while providing small sellers with a strong growth platform.
