The new-generation wardrobe adventure began in 2024 with Brugnoli, Maggia, and Maglificio Ripa, and is advanced by woven alternatives for trousers.
The collaboration between TENCELTM by Lenzing, a leader in wood-based cellulosic textile fibers, and ROICATM by Asahi Kasei, a pioneer in premium stretch fiber, continues to introduce the idea of sustainable and circularly driven textiles to a variety of applications, from lingerie to indoor sportswear or general apparel.
Thanks to our collaboration with DESTRO Fabrics, we will be able to introduce a new application that is crucial for modern consumers: pants and outerwear in general, in conjunction with the upcoming Milano Unica.
The focus of the collection will be on men’s and women’s trousers, which will come in three distinct textures and offer excellent comfort, urban appeal, and a modern aesthetic. The decision to employ ROICATM V550 degradable stretch fiber and TENCELTM by Lenzing with an end-of-life goal is undoubtedly a step toward the need for transparency and a drive toward a more circular approach. Furthermore, we have used European-made cotton that is entirely spun and weaved in Cavernago, Italy.
fabrics that will provide the heritage softness of Lenzing’s TENCELTM, the comfort of ROICATM superior stretch, and the pleasant, compact feel of cotton.Art. BIONIC BROKEN TWILL WEAVE, Art. BIOLOGIC TWILL L.H.WEAVE 4/2, and Art. BIOTECH PIQUET WEAVE are some of the highlights of this collection. They are made of 68% cotton, 30% TENCELTM Lyocell, and 2% ROICATM V550.
This launch marks the beginning of a journey, as Destro Fabrics aims to expand this concept in future seasons, reflecting its strong interest in innovating with comfort and sustainability.
DESTRO Fabrics began its journey in 2010 with the specific goal of developing a high-value fabric collection—value in terms of human, material, and product aspects. Alongside Eurotessile, DESTRO Fabrics emerged in 2018. With the help of DESTRO Fabrics’ ingenuity and Eurotessile’s Italian production facility for spinning and weaving, the brand has expanded and is now known in the market for its genuineness, quality, and superior level of customer service. In order to prevent CO2 emissions and any supply issues brought on by the current geopolitical uncertainties, Destro Fabrics supports a very closed supply chain. In addition to being certified by GOTS, GRS, OCS, and OEKO-TEX®, Eurotessile also supports the energy production site..

ROICA™ V550 is a degradable stretch fiber by Asahi Kasei, created by using special polymer technology. It provides a sustainable end-of-life solution. This innovative fiber undergoes partial degradation under ISO 14855-1 conditions, as verified by OWS, breaking down into CO2 and water. Furthermore, it holds the distinction of being the world’s first Cradle to Cradle-Certified™ stretch yarn achieving a Material Health Gold Level certification.
TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal are cellulosic fibers derived from the natural raw material wood from certified forests. This botanical origin has an impact on the environmental footprint of production, but it also has implications for the fibers’ end of life. TENCEL™ fibers are 100% biodegradable in salt water, fresh water and soil. TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibers can break down and compost at the end of their life cycle (TÜV AUSTRIA certified). The fibers are also certified with the EU Ecolabel (license no. AT/016/001) for environmental excellence, recognizing the high environmental standards throughout their entire lifecycle.
