The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) concluded its second edition with remarkable success. Held from 26–28 February 2025, the event reinforced its role as a key trade platform in the global textile industry, attracting over 19,000 visits from 70+ countries and regions—a more than 10% increase from the previous year. With 463 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions (a nearly 13% growth), the fair introduced new zones and pavilions dedicated to textile innovation, sustainability, and global supply chain integration.

A Catalyst for Global Connections

Once again hosted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), VIATT continues to strengthen Vietnam’s textile industry on the international stage. Deputy Minister Ms. Phan Thi Thang highlighted the sector’s importance, stating, “The textile and garment industry accounts for 12–16% of Vietnam’s total export turnover. With 17 new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs) in effect, we aim to reach USD 48 billion in export turnover by 2025, further solidifying Vietnam’s position in the global supply chain.”

Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd General Manager Ms. Wilmet Shea expressed enthusiasm about VIATT 2025’s growth, particularly with the introduction of the European Zone and India Pavilion. She emphasized, “The show has expanded significantly, both in participation and offerings, further strengthening its role as a gateway to ASEAN’s dynamic textile market.”

Innovation and Sustainability Take Center Stage

Reflecting global trends, VIATT 2025 showcased cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions across the apparel, home, and technical sectors. Key highlights included:

  • Innovation and Digital Solutions Zone – A hub for emerging textile technologies.
  • Econogy Hub – A showcase of sustainable fabrics and eco-friendly solutions.

Strengthening Global Partnerships

Buyers and exhibitors from key markets, including China, India, and Southeast Asia, recognized VIATT’s role in expanding business opportunities:
