Poltrona Frau Updates Blisscape Sofa with Enhanced Comfort and Modular Design
The latest Blisscape collection by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba introduces deeper seating, adjustable armrests, new modular elements and versatile tables.
Poltrona Frau has expanded its Blisscape sofa collection with new features that improve comfort, flexibility and everyday use. Designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, the updated range builds on the original system introduced last year.
The latest edition adds deeper seating, adjustable armrests and new modular elements. In addition, a dedicated table collection offers more ways to use and arrange the sofa system. The updates were unveiled during Milan Design Week.
Enhanced Comfort and Flexible Seating
The new Blisscape sofa features a seat that is 10 cm deeper. This change offers a more relaxed seating position, particularly for taller users. The collection also introduces a curved armchair tilted at 45 degrees to support different sitting positions.
Meanwhile, the taller armrests add to the sofa’s enclosed, cocoon-like design. Each armrest features a large cushion folded outwards over a rigid structure covered in Pelle Frau® leather. An optional tilt mechanism also allows users to adjust the armrest for added comfort.
Together, these features create a more inviting seating experience while retaining the collection’s distinctive shape.
New Modules Expand Design Possibilities
Blisscape now offers additional modular elements, including a deep chaise and a deep pouf. These additions allow users to create more open and asymmetrical layouts.
The chaise terminal module can comfortably accommodate up to two people. It also supports more relaxed seating arrangements. Similarly, the deep pouf offers greater flexibility. It can stand alone opposite a linear sofa or become part of a larger composition.
Furthermore, the pouf can be paired with one of the new Blisscape tables. This creates a coordinated arrangement for lounging, reading or informal gatherings.
New Tables Add Everyday Functionality
The new Blisscape table collection expands the sofa system beyond traditional seating. It includes side tables, coffee tables, small shelves and storage elements. These pieces provide practical surfaces for working, reading, relaxing and entertaining.
Customers can choose tables with marble tops or Pelle Frau® leather finishes. Available shapes include round, square and rectangular designs. The tables can stand beside the sofa, sit in front of the seating or form part of a larger arrangement.
Although designed for Blisscape, the tables are also compatible with other Poltrona Frau collections. As a result, they offer greater flexibility across different living spaces.
Materials, Shapes and Finishes
The table collection includes rectangular sizes of 90 × 45 cm, 100 × 45 cm and 150 × 40 cm. A square version measures 100 × 100 cm, while the round table has a diameter of 120 cm. Heights are available at 32 cm and 38 cm.
The bases use birch plywood and MDF covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere Impact Less leather. The 90 × 45 cm and 100 × 45 cm versions also feature a black-painted MDF plinth with visible stitching.
For the tabletops, customers can choose between birch plywood covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere Impact Less leather and 2 cm-thick marble slabs. The marble tops feature rounded edges and reinforced undersides for durability.

The updated Blisscape collection reflects Poltrona Frau’s 2026 True Over Time collection, which places authenticity and lasting design at the centre of its philosophy.

Through the work of Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, Blisscape brings this vision into modern living spaces. The expanded range offers greater comfort, more seating options and versatile surfaces, while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
The Blisscape collection will debut on 14 April at the Poltrona Frau flagship store at Via Manzoni 30 in Milan. In the following months, it will reach selected stores worldwide and Poltrona Frau’s online stores in key European markets.
