Odisha is positioning itself as a dynamic hub for investment, offering vast opportunities in renewable energy, green energy, mining, agro, handicrafts, and artisan-based industries. Highlighting this potential, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister of Odisha, extended an invitation to domestic and international investors to explore Odisha as a preferred destination for business growth.
Mr. Deo reiterated the state government’s commitment to balanced economic development and environmental sustainability, underlining Odisha’s vision of becoming a model state for sustainable progress and a prominent hub for trade and investment across sectors. Dr. Vijay Kalantri remarked, “Today, every Indian takes pride in declaring India as a land of business opportunities. Indian ambassadors and industrialists not only promote their businesses but also enhance India’s global reputation. We are proud to be establishing a World Trade Center in Bhubaneswar, which will join the global network of over 330 centers across 90 countries, fostering growth and flourishing business opportunities.”
Adding to this, Ms. Priya Pansare spoke about initiatives boosting artisan-led industries and agricultural exports. She emphasized WTC’s role as a catalyst in connecting businesses to global markets, providing resources, and strengthening local producers. Her comments highlighted how such initiatives empower artisans and farmers, enabling their growth both domestically and internationally.
The discussion also underscored WTC Bhubaneswar’s pivotal role in promoting Odisha’s agro-products and creating new global linkages for local businesses. This reflects WTC Mumbai’s wider mission to advance sustainable development, expand trade, and unlock new investment opportunities, aligning with India’s emergence as a strong global economic leader.
