Myntra to Onboard 400 West Bengal Sellers Ahead of Festive Season

Myntra has announced plans to onboard around 400 existing and emerging sellers from West Bengal through the second edition of its Seller Growth Connect programme, helping regional entrepreneurs, manufacturers and artisans expand their businesses nationwide ahead of the festive season.

The initiative, hosted in Kolkata, brought together sellers across fashion, lifestyle, apparel, handloom and accessories, with a focus on enabling digital growth for MSMEs and traditional craft clusters across Eastern India.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition held in May, the programme equips sellers with technology tools, marketplace insights and supply chain capabilities to help them scale their businesses through digital commerce.

West Bengal continues to play a significant role in India’s fashion and textile ecosystem, with more than 1,700 brands from the state already selling on Myntra across apparel, accessories and personal care categories.

The platform is also strengthening digital market access for renowned textile clusters including Fulia, Shantipur, Dhaniakhali and Bishnupur, helping showcase traditional crafts such as Taant sarees, Bishnupuri silk and Dhakai Jamdani to customers across the country.

Regional brands including Kisah, Vastrmay, Uptownie, FTX, Dolce Crudo, Miss Chase, Wishcare, Bengal Looms India, Bengal Saree Udyog, Adi Akshoy & Co., Vagmi and Gouri Collections are leveraging Myntra’s platform to expand from regional businesses into nationally recognised brands.

To support emerging businesses, Myntra has developed a structured, technology-led growth framework that provides insights on assortment planning, trend forecasting, catalogue optimisation and marketing strategies, enabling brands to make data-driven business decisions.

Further simplifying the onboarding process, Myntra has introduced its AI-powered Seller Growth Hub, reducing seller onboarding time from 10–15 days to approximately 1–2 days, allowing businesses to register, upload catalogues and begin selling more efficiently.

Commenting on the initiative, Bedanta Dutta, Senior Director, Marketplace, Myntra, said, “Eastern India, West Bengal included, has a deeply rooted and diverse ecosystem of entrepreneurial businesses, manufacturers, artisans and brands across handloom, ethnic wear, apparel and lifestyle categories. Through Seller Growth Connect, we are equipping entrepreneurs with marketplace insights, technology and growth frameworks required to scale and expand their reach on the platform.”

With access to more than 75 million monthly active users and delivery coverage across 98% of India’s serviceable pincodes, Myntra continues to strengthen opportunities for regional sellers to build nationally accessible brands through digital commerce.
