Marine Serre Focuses on Men’s Fashion Expansion, Reshuffles Show Schedule

Renowned for creating fashion from recycled materials, French designer Marine Serre is set to accelerate the growth of her menswear line. The brand, famous for its eco-friendly approach, plans to separate its men’s and women’s collections during the Paris Fashion Week schedule. In upcoming events, specifically in January and June, Marine Serre aims to spotlight its expanding menswear range by emphasizing dedicated presentations rather than traditional runway shows.

While the brand continues to showcase women’s collections, there’s a shift back to their original roots. In 2024, the women’s lines will be featured during the Paris Women’s Week, aligning with the label’s debut in the Parisian runways during the women’s fashion week back in 2018. This strategic move signifies a return to the label’s starting point after temporarily showcasing during the menswear week in 2022.

Expressing her intentions, the designer highlighted the importance of giving more prominence to the menswear collection, aiming to better serve the growing male clientele. Marine Serre, known for futuristic sportswear and upcycled fashion, launched her women’s ready-to-wear label in 2016, followed by the addition of a men’s line. In a short span, she has become a notable name in contemporary fashion, branching out into various accessories, including jewellery, handbags, footwear, and hats.

Currently available through its online store, Marine Serre’s products are also sold by multiple fashion e-tailers and over 150 multi-brand retailers across approximately 30 countries. The label primarily thrives in Europe, especially in countries like Italy, France, and the UK, along with strong markets in Asia, particularly in South Korea, China, and Japan. Additionally, the USA represents a significant market for the brand’s expansion.
