L’Oréal has announced the winners of the India Regional Finals of its Big Bang Beauty Tech Innovation Program 2025, marking a major step in its commitment to foster startup-driven innovation in beauty tech. The program, recognized as the largest Beauty Tech open innovation initiative across the South Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa (SAPMENA) region, reinforces L’Oréal’s investment in scalable, tech-enabled solutions.
Three Indian startups emerged victorious after a rigorous evaluation by a jury of industry leaders from L’Oréal and Google:
-
Infloso AI: An AI-powered ecosystem uniting technology, marketing, advertising, and the creator economy to help brands grow across platforms.
-
Sravathi AI: A silico chemistry platform leveraging AI, molecular modeling, and biochemistry to design advanced pharma and chemical solutions.
-
Without (by Ashaya): A material science company ethically transforming unrecyclable waste into recyclable, high-quality materials and products, promoting a circular economy.
These winners will advance to the SAPMENA Grand Finale in Singapore on 7 November 2025, where they will compete for a L’Oréal-funded commercial pilot, exposure to 35 markets, and a year-long mentorship with senior executives from L’Oréal and its partners.
To further accelerate beauty tech innovation in India, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has signed an MoU with L’Oréal India. This partnership strengthens the startup ecosystem by offering mentorship, pilot opportunities, and market entry support across sustainable packaging, inclusive beauty, and digital innovation.
Highlighting the program’s success, Shri Sanjiv Singh, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, said, “This is a good outcome of the MoU with L’Oréal India that reinforces our vision to strengthen a robust innovation and manufacturing-led ecosystem in India. Startup India, DPIIT remains committed to empowering entrepreneurs, and I am confident that the Indian finalists would achieve outstanding success on the global stage.”
Saloni Shah Javeri, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, L’Oréal India, added, “India’s rapidly evolving digital landscape continues to be a fertile ground for groundbreaking innovations in beauty tech. The pioneering spirit of the innovations we’ve witnessed this year are inspiring with increased maturity and potential versus last year. We are proud of these trailblazers and eagerly await their journey to the finals this November.”
Last year, Indian startups Neural Garage and Live2.ai were among the three Grand Finale winners of the inaugural 2024 edition. With this year’s finalists, India continues to strengthen its global presence in the Beauty Tech space.
