Venetian Nights: One of the most exclusive charity events is returning to Venice, and it will include a special performance.
Kelly Rowland is gearing up to sing at the AmfAR Gala in Venice on September 1, which coincides with the 81st Venice International Film Festival, which runs from August 28 to September 7.
The annual benefit will be hosted at the Hangar Nicelli location, which overlooks the city’s lagoon. It will include a black-tie gala dinner followed by a live auction of artworks and one-of-a-kind experiences to generate funds for AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and activism.
“We are thrilled and grateful to have the multitalented Kelly Rowland performing for us at amfAR Venezia,” stated amfAR’s CEO Kevin Robert Frost. “Her incredible voice will help make this a truly unforgettable evening.”
“Rowland has been an outspoken champion for HIV treatment and prevention. “She has traveled to Africa several times to highlight the inequities in access to care that still exist on the continent,” AmfAR stated. Rowland was honored with AmfAR’s Award of Courage in 2022.
The World Gold Council and The Red Sea International Film Festival will present the 2024 amfAR Gala in Venice, with signature sponsors Chopard and Campari.
Since 1985, amfAR has invested more than $635 million in various initiatives, awarding over 3,800 grants to research teams around the world.
