The new beachwear line from Iluna Group, which will be on display at MarediModa 2024, pays homage to creativity and environmental consciousness with its high-performance recycled laces and glossy finishes.
Iluna Group is still distinguished by its dedication to R&D, investigating innovative solutions that blend excellent design and creativity, always with minimal environmental impact. This vision positions Iluna Group as a pioneer in advancing these principles throughout the whole lace supply chain by leveraging the company’s vast experience in material knowledge, processing, and production techniques.
Iluna Group will present a beachwear collection that flawlessly combines style, innovation, and environmental responsibility at MarediModa 2024, the premier trade event for the beachwear, lingerie, and athleisure industries, which will be held in Cannes from November 5–7.
The collection progresses along two primary axes. The first is a beach-themed capsule collection that is fully certified and created using double-needled Mayer machines. With the help of Qnova® and ROICA EF, the cover-ups and bikinis in this collection are made entirely of recycled materials, signifying a tangible step towards circular fashion.
The collection’s second section includes a carefully chosen assortment of sustainable, certified, and creative materials. Everything is moving, from glossy finishes with GRS-certified laminates to Lurex cables, multicolored lace with iridescent effects, and overprinted effects. Geometric and aquatic themes combine with large-scale floral designs to create dynamic sculptures where nothing is routine but always unexpected!
Additionally, a variety of fringed pareos for any occasion are available, along with stretch macramé and sangallo laces, providing effective and adaptable options.
One of the most creative innovations, which also applies to beachwear, is the application of a high water-saving GRS-approved print on extremely fine, certified Lurex nets.
Using a cutting-edge polyamide, Iluna Group will also introduce a new, exclusive process for making laces that allows for the whole elimination of water use.
Since 2018, Iluna Group, a leader in sustainability and an advocate for ongoing research into low-impact environmental solutions and the highest regard for the world, has received GRS certification for its sustainable Green Label line. A collection that combines innovation, quality, and aesthetics at every angle to suggest a new, responsible approach to people and the environment. Iluna is able to ensure complete control and traceability of the entire production chain, from the polymer to the final lace, and uses the Higgs Index to gauge the company’s sustainable growth.
The company’s percentage of sustainable production has risen gradually over time, rising from 3% in 2018 to more than 50% in 2022. Using 92,810 kg of GRS-certified recycled polyamide, the company has created 7.5 million meters of Green Label lace since 2016, saving 1.5 million liters of water. Customizable GRS Lurex nets with similarly certified patterns, unique finishes like flocking and printing, and materials like organic cotton, mass-dyed viscose with FSC certification, and the high-end recycled elastomer ROICA EF from the ROICA Eco Smart family are examples of recent product advancements.
