The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the leading authority in India’s gem and jewellery trade, inaugurated its second office on 1st November in Mumbai, located at Zaveri Bazaar. The opening ceremony was graced by Dr. Harshdeep Kamble, IAS, Principal Secretary of Industries for the Government of Maharashtra, along with Shri Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC, Shri Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC, Shri Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC, and other distinguished guests.
To serve its members across India – around 9500 members, GJEPC has offices in major gem and jewellery clusters in India namely – Surat, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. Zaveri Bazaar is a prominent jewellery hub, home to over 3000 gem and jewellery manufacturing units, with around 1300 of them being GJEPC members and exporters. The new office at Zaveri Bazaar will play a pivotal role in enhancing gem and jewellery exports by better serving these manufacturers.
Dr. Harshdeep Kamble IAS, Principal Secretary (Industries), Govt. of Maharashtra said, “The GJEPC new office is strategically situated in the iconic Bazar to enhance the ease of conducting business, which will be a crucial factor for all manufacturing and trading entities operating in this region. The opening of our new office in the bustling Zaveri Bazar is a significant step toward improving accessibility and support for local manufacturers. This new establishment will serve as a convenient point of contact, ensuring an efficient connection between manufacturers and GJEPC.”
The extended office at Zaveri Bazar will serve as a central hub for members to connect with GJEPC and seek assistance on various matters. The range of services provided include:
