India’s expanding textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem is set to converge at Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai, scheduled from 9 to 11 April 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The exhibition, incorporating The Denim Show, will bring together stakeholders across the garment and apparel value chain to explore innovation, technology, and business opportunities.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd and MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, the event will serve as a comprehensive platform for machinery manufacturers, technology providers, fabric suppliers, textile printers, and accessories manufacturers to connect and collaborate.

India’s textile and apparel sector, valued at approximately USD 179 billion, continues to play a significant role in the economy, contributing around 2% to GDP, nearly 11% to manufacturing GVA, and over 8% to exports, while supporting the livelihoods of 45 million people. The country’s strength across natural and manmade textiles highlights its scale and global competitiveness.

This year’s edition will feature participation from over 125 companies, representing key global markets including Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Visitors will have access to more than 500 products and 300 brands, alongside new product launches and emerging technologies.

The exhibitor showcase will span a wide range of solutions, including garment and textile machinery, digital and conventional printing technologies, yarn and knitting equipment, dyeing and finishing systems, automation software, testing solutions, and packaging technologies, along with fabrics, trims, and accessories.

Commenting on the industry’s trajectory, Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member at Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, noted that India’s textile sector is witnessing strong momentum driven by technological advancement, global sourcing opportunities, and increasing focus on sustainability. He emphasised the role of such platforms in fostering innovation and collaboration.

Similarly, Gaurav Juneja, Director of MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, highlighted the growing demand for advanced machinery, efficient processing technologies, and integrated supply chains, positioning the event as a key platform for industry engagement and business expansion.

Reflecting evolving manufacturing requirements, the exhibition will also introduce expanded product categories such as knitting machinery and fusing technologies. The co-located Denim Show, supported by the Denim Manufacturers Association, will spotlight innovations from denim mills, fabric producers, finishing and washing technology providers, and chemical suppliers.

With sustainability and circularity becoming central to global textile supply chains, exhibitors are expected to showcase solutions focused on resource efficiency, reduced water and energy consumption, recycling, and environmentally responsible production processes.

The event will also host knowledge-sharing sessions through Gartex Talks and Denim Talks, covering topics such as AI in apparel manufacturing, digital textile printing, zero-waste production, athleisure evolution, and the future of garment machinery.
