Sports brand Fila has launched a new line, Fila+, reimagining its sportswear history through modern design. Lev Tanju, founder of skatewear brand Palace, has been appointed as the Creative Director for Fila+. The inaugural collection under Fila+ is described as an elevated take on sportswear, blending high-quality materials with contemporary design inspired by the brand’s archives and classic silhouettes.
Lev Tanju, known for his influence on London’s vibrant skate culture, will bring his expertise to lead Fila+ into the future while continuing his role as Creative Director at Palace. The collection aims to combine craftsmanship and authenticity for everyday style, emphasizing Fila’s rich Italian heritage.
The new Fila+ logo features vibrant colors, including green and a brighter shade of red against a white background, representing the Italian flag. Tanju’s previous collaborations with various brands and artists showcase his ability to connect with diverse audiences beyond the skating community.
Todd Klein, Fila’s Global Brand President, sees the launch of Fila+ as a significant milestone, redefining sportswear boundaries and paying tribute to the label’s spirit of innovation. The partnership reflects Fila’s commitment to being a leader in the sportswear industry and engaging a new base of loyal consumers.
Fila+ will be distributed globally through major e-commerce platforms, local department stores, and key boutiques. The first collection will be presented to buyers this month, with a public and media reveal through a campaign scheduled for June.
