eVent Fabrics Partners with Rocky Mountain ATV for 2027 ADV Gear

eVent® Fabrics has partnered with Rocky Mountain ATV to introduce the 2027 MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket and Pants. The new adventure riding gear features eVent’s alpineST three-layer fabric technology, designed to provide waterproof and breathable protection in changing weather conditions.

Adventure riders often face heat, rain, wind and temperature changes during a single journey. Therefore, the new MSR Xplorer ADV collection combines weather protection with durable materials, protective armour and ventilation features.

alpineST Technology for Weather Protection

The MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket uses eVent alpineST three-layer fabric with a C0 durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. In addition, SuperFabric overlays at the shoulders and elbows improve abrasion resistance. Removable D3O Level 1 protectors at the shoulders, elbows and back provide added impact protection.

The jacket also features multiple ventilation options. Four large zippered intake vents sit at the biceps and chest, while two double-headed vents cover the wrists and forearms. Furthermore, two rear exhaust vents help release heat and improve airflow during demanding rides.

The MSR Xplorer ADV Pants use the same alpineST fabric and C0 DWR finish. SuperFabric overlays at the knees and 500D Cordura® in high-wear areas add durability. Meanwhile, removable D3O Level 1 knee and hip protectors provide additional impact protection.

Two large zippered thigh intake vents and two rear exhaust vents allow riders to manage airflow as conditions change.

PFAS-Free Materials Support Product Development

Rocky Mountain ATV selected alpineST for its performance and PFAS-free construction. The partnership also reflects the company’s focus on reducing the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) as regulations surrounding these chemicals continue to evolve.

“When we looked to source materials for our MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket and Pants, eVent’s high-performance alpineST became the choice that made sense for us,” said Matt Rice, Powersports Product Director with Rocky Mountain ATV. “alpineST delivers the performance we demand from all of our products, with the added benefit of being PFAS-free. Removing PFAS from our products is a key strategy as regulations around their use continue to evolve.”

Chad Kelly, Vice President of eVent Fabrics, highlighted the changing conditions faced by adventure riders.

“Adventure riding can subject apparel to some pretty unique demands,” said Chad Kelly, Vice President of eVent Fabrics. “You can go from a hot, exposed stretch of trail to rain, altitude, and colder conditions in the same ride. The MSR Xplorer ADV is designed around that reality, and alpineST gives a waterproof, breathable foundation that helps riders stay comfortable as conditions change.”

Designed for Long Adventure Rides

The jacket and pants feature a zip-together connection to help keep the riding gear securely in place. Additionally, water-resistant YKK AquaGuard zippers, multiple storage options, reflective details and adjustable fit features support comfort and practicality on extended journeys.

With waterproof protection, abrasion-resistant materials and integrated ventilation, the 2027 MSR Xplorer ADV collection combines functional design with performance-focused fabric technology.

The 2027 MSR Xplorer ADV Jacket and Pants are available through Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.
