Durak Tekstil has introduced Poly-Strong PC-IR, a specialized sewing thread engineered for infrared (IR) invisibility in military and security applications. This innovation addresses a critical flaw in camouflage effectiveness—visibility at seam lines under IR sensors—by offering complete concealment in the 700–1200 nm wavelength range.

Initially developed upon a request from the Polish military, the thread underwent rigorous R&D and has since received accreditation from global laboratories. With optimized reflectance values and a dark military green tone, it ensures seamless visual integration in camouflage gear.

Vice President Yiğit Durak stated, “Poly-Strong PC-IR ensures true IR invisibility, eliminating weaknesses in stitched areas. It’s a major leap in secure fieldwear technology.” Beyond military use, the thread is suitable for outdoor gear, tents, and sportswear, thanks to its durability, resistance to chemicals, and anti-microbial properties.

Durak’s technical edge—offering different thread thicknesses, high tensile strength, and compliance with global standards—positions Poly-Strong PC-IR as a game-changer for manufacturers aiming to expand into military, security, and outdoor markets.
