NIFT Mumbai successfully hosted two days Sports and Cultural college event, West Zone
Converge 2022, on the 8th and 9th Oct 2022. Students from four participating campuses:
Jodhpur, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur, Mumbai, exhibited their talent in various fields, like sports,
culture, and literature. The college fest provided a common platform to all the students for
recreational, cultural & sports activities and exposure to extra-curricular activities. It
allowed all students from four campuses to interact and learn from each other.
Eminent personalities from Fashion, Film, TV, Literature, Social-media, Art, Sport, and
Corporate Training sector, judged the events and encouraged the student participants by
boosting students’ morale with their inspiring presence. On both days of Converge, creative
and talented young minds kept the energy level high through their power-packed
performances. In this 2-days meeting the events conducted were both online and offline
modes. The literary events were conducted in online mode, while sports and cultural
events, were conducted in offline mode.
The two days event concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony followed by a live band
performance. The Valedictory function was graced by the august presence of chief guest Mr.
Yash Gera; Model and Actor, Prof. Dr. Sharmila Dua, Ex Dean NIFT, and Prof. Dr. Pawan
Godiawala, Director NIFT Mumbai. All the esteemed guests congratulated all the
participants, and the winners for their outstanding performance in various events. NIFT
Mumbai won the West Zone Converge 2022 Trophy and bagged 25 medals. NIFT Jodhpur
stood in the second position and won the runner-up Trophy and 19 Medals.
