With sustainability and regulatory compliance increasingly central to fashion production, the France-based industrial group emphasizes responsible and traceable solutions for the European market.
At the heart of its strategy is Lainière de Picardie, Chargeurs PCC’s historic production site founded in 1903 in Péronne, France. As a fully integrated knitting and coating facility, it controls all key manufacturing steps, ensuring traceability from yarn to finished interlinings. Powered largely by France’s low-carbon electricity mix, the site achieves a significantly lower structural CO2 intensity compared to most international locations.
Lainière de Picardie has implemented a major sustainability transformation plan, replacing steam-based processes with hot-water technologies, upgrading knitting and fixation machines, and installing new washing equipment. These measures reduced CO2 emissions by 11% in 2024, with further reductions expected in 2026 as a new boiler comes online. The site also collaborates closely with suppliers to monitor Scope 3 emissions, reinforcing carbon accountability across its supply chain.
At Milano Unica, Chargeurs PCC will present interlinings and fabrics that highlight French craftsmanship and modern innovation.
