Following the recent acquisition of Swiss excellences in shirting fabrics, the company, global leader in interlinings production, entrusts the two executives with the leadership of the business unit
Chargers The world leader in the manufacturing of interlinings and inner garment components, PCC Fashion Technologies, creates a new shirting fabric division and names Giorgio Marcarino as its CEO and Gianluca Tanzi as its chairman. This move comes after the brands Alumo, Brennet, and Eugster & Huber—the pinnacle of Swiss heritage in quality shirting fabrics—were recently acquired from Cilander.
Gianluca Tanzi added: “Giorgio Marcarino and I are ecstatic about the chance to breathe new life into the businesses we’ve bought. In order to further Chargeurs PCC’s development strategy, which includes expanding our portfolio—which has historically been focused on inner components and interlinings—with the provision of the best fabrics targeted at the shirting industry, our vast experience and in-depth understanding of the product and textile world will be essential. Combining French and Swiss knowledge will enable us to use ever-more-innovative solutions and broaden our area of expertise.
Giorgio Marcarino added: “Chargeurs PCC, which has always set itself apart in the textile-clothing industry by providing innovative products of the highest quality, is well suited to the new shirting division’s business and growth strategy. We have a special chance to cross-sell with our interlinings today, which will provide the business more motivation to improve performance and provide our clients with even more thorough and individualized service.”
The finest textiles in the upscale shirting market are made by the Swiss heritage firms Eugster & Huber and Alumo. By maximizing these brands’ potential, Chargeurs PCC hopes to reclaim their rightful position as leaders in luxury shirts. Regarding Brennet, the business has started a significant repositioning strategy aimed at improving productivity and creativity. The strategy is to satisfy the growing need for premium shirt textiles among modern consumers.
