Carpisa has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its first flagship store at Phoenix Marketcity Bengaluru, marking a key milestone in its international expansion strategy.
The Italian brand, known for its handbags, luggage, accessories, and small leather goods, has partnered with Neopolis Brands through a long-term licensing agreement aimed at scaling Carpisa’s presence across India. The partnership includes plans to expand to more than 100 stores in the coming years.
Reflecting on the brand’s entry into India, Maurizio Carlino, Carpisa Chief Executive Officer, said, “India represents an extraordinarily dynamic and high-potential market for Carpisa, and we are proud to mark our entry with the opening of our first store in Bangalore. With it scale, energy and rapidly evolving consumer landscape, we see India as a key pillar in our international growth strategy, with very strong expectations for the future. We are especially pleased to partner with Neopolis Brands, whose vision, expertise and deep understanding of the local market give us great confidence in the success of this project. We believe this collaboration can become a benchmark for our future international developments.”
The store opening on 28 May 2026 was marked by an exclusive in-store soirée attended by Giandomenico Milano and actor Sobhita Dhulipala, along with leading figures from Bengaluru’s fashion, business, and media communities.
Highlighting the cultural exchange between Italian design and Indian consumer markets, Giandomenico Milano said, “Italy has long been admired for its fashion and design. What makes this moment special is that Italian style is finding a growing audience among Indian consumers. Carpisa’s entry into India is not simply a commercial expansion; it points to a broader exchange between our two countries, where design, creativity and craftsmanship naturally come together.”
On the brand’s India debut, Sobhita Dhulipala said, “I’m delighted to collaborate with Carpisa, a globally renowned brand known for its versatile collections and strong Italian design legacy. The combination of premium international quality and accessible pricing makes it especially appealing for the Indian market.” Carpisa pricing in India will include women handbags in the price range of Rs. 4000 to Rs. 6000 while Gen Z focussed sling bags will be priced at around Rs. 3000 to Rs. 4000.
Neopolis Brands is introducing Carpisa in Bengaluru through an omni-channel strategy, including the flagship store at Phoenix Marketcity, shop-in-shop formats at Shoppers Stop outlets in Bannerghatta, and a pop-up store at Brigade Orion Mall in Rajajinagar. The brand will also be available online via its official website and major e-commerce platforms such as Myntra, Nykaa, and Tata CLiQ.
Underscoring the brand’s growth strategy, Shailesh Chaturvedi, Chairman of Neopolis Brands, said, “Carpisa offers us opportunity of turning another international brand into India’s success story with its strengths in high growth categories such as handbags, accessories and travel products where India sees a mismatch between large addressable market and limited organized play, thus offering strong head room for long term growth”.
The Bengaluru launch marks the beginning of Carpisa’s India expansion journey, with further retail rollouts planned across major metropolitan cities.
