Following the success of its runway presentation during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, when Pharrell Williams made his debut as the menswear creative director, Louis Vuitton is increasing its list of illustrious ambassadors by entering the tennis scene.

The French company has partnered with Carlos Alcaraz, the youngest tennis player to ever hold the world’s top ranking from Murcia, Spain. The 20-year-old athlete, who has “the same philosophy of effort and excellence” with Louis Vuitton, will represent men’s fashion starting on June 28.

“I genuinely feel very proud, to be honest. We could even argue that joining the Louis Vuitton family is a dream come true for Alcaraz, who already has four ATP 1000 victories and a Grand Slam trophy to his name. He is presently getting ready for Wimbledon, which will occur from July 3 to July 16.

Alcaraz has previously ventured into the realm of fashion. He appeared in one of the “Calvins or Nothing” campaigns for the American company Calvin Klein earlier this year.

The premium brand Louis Vuitton has a history of working with well-known celebrities. A few months ago, the company chose the well-known actress Zendaya to represent its Capucines handbag line. It also recently collaborated with the singer and actress Rihanna, who acted as the face of its most current ad campaign during Paris Fashion Week Men’s.

The 1854-founded Parisian maison is a part of the LVMH luxury conglomerate’s portfolio of brands. The business, which is presently engaged in important negotiations for the sponsorship of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, witnessed a 17% growth in sales in 2022, reaching 79.2 billion euros, according to its most recent financial data.
