Footwear brand Birkenstock has launched an innovative community studio and activation space in East London. Located at The Truman Brewery’s Dray Walk Gallery, the studio is named ‘Birkenstock Studio: Walk With Me’ and aims to collaborate with and support various artists-in-residence in the vibrant creative hub of East London.
The inaugural artist-in-residence is Helen Kirkum, a Londoner and graduate of the Royal College of Art, known for her thought-provoking designs that explore themes of design, craftsmanship, and product value.
The studio offers a range of free events and workshops, providing a platform for Birkenstock to engage with its consumers and the creative community. This initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to its heritage, craftsmanship, and leadership in style.
Birkenstock’s studio will showcase a curated selection of London-based artists-in-residence, each embodying the brand’s core values. Through collaborations with respected creators, the studio aims to foster a sense of community and exploration, inviting visitors to discover the brand’s iconic design and craftsmanship.
Located at 91 Brick Lane, the studio will be open four days a week (Thursday-Sunday, 12pm-7pm), offering visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Birkenstock and engage with the creative community.
