Preity Zinta opted for a pearl white gown by Australian designer Vivienna Lorikeet as she got ready for her red-carpet comeback. Pearl earrings and elegant, tied-back hair completed her ensemble.

The actress wore a Nyra gown with exquisite pearl embellishments and sleeves shaped like bows made of white silk, designed by Leepakshi Ellawadi. It had a backless style with a plunging neckline. The mermaid skirt had a complete lining, a center back zip, and fringe pearls on the bottom.

Zinta took up the coquette core, embracing the charm of childhood. This year, it was also on display at the Met Gala, when Alia Bhatt combined heritage and contemporary style with it in her Sabyasachi sari. Similar to this, Ananya Panday wore a bow dress to an awards ceremony. She opted for an opulent version by Giambattista Valli, which included spaghetti straps with fashionable bows on either side and a bralette top with a bustier-type neckline. Priyanka Chopra Jonas adopted a similar look, accessorizing with an eye-catching trademark bow in the rear and an off-the-shoulder blouse featuring gathered details up front. Jenner also wore a stylish white Rodarte dress for Easter, which was enhanced with two black ribbon bows on each shoulder.

This year’s Cannes Film Festival was especially memorable for Zinta since she gave her longtime partner Santosh Sivan the coveted Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography award. Santosh was the cinematographer for Zinta’s first feature film, Mani Ratnam’s love movie Dil Se (1998), which marks the beginning of their partnership. As they reconnect for her first movie in seven years, Rajkumar Santoshi’s forthcoming historical drama Lahore 1947, their professional relationship has now fully circled.

Zinta has a distinguished past with the Cannes Film Festival. She attended the premieres of Paris, Je T’aime and The Wind That Shakes the Barley at the festival in 2006, marking her festival debut. Zinta accessorized her 2008 blue silk gown with a green emerald necklace, luscious lips, and blue eyeshadow.

The actor chose a haircut that was reminiscent of vintage Hollywood, with a high, untidy bun and delicately curled fringe that fell to one side. Updos were standard for red carpet events and formal gatherings during that time. It was common for actors to shape their hair into elegant chignons, French twists, or high buns.
