Arvind Ltd Appoints Rajarshi Ghosh as Denim CEO

Arvind Ltd., a vertically integrated textile-to-retail major and a pioneer in denim, has appointed Rajarshi Ghosh as Chief Executive Officer for its Denim business. In his new capacity, he will steer the strategic agenda to drive profitable expansion, deepen customer relationships, and advance digital integration across the denim value chain, while nurturing a results-oriented, performance-led culture within the organisation.

Welcoming him, Punit Lalbhai, Vice Chairman, Arvind Limited, said, “Rajarshi’s appointment strongly aligns with our priorities for the Denim business as we build on the progress of recent quarters. His deep sector expertise and proven ability to translate strategy into execution will help us elevate customer experience, accelerate enterprise-wide digitisation, and further strengthen a high-performance culture built on ownership and outcomes.”

Commenting on his appointment, Rajarshi said, “Returning to Arvind is a meaningful milestone—I started my career here, and it is a privilege to come back to lead the Denim business. I look forward to partnering with our teams and customers to build on Arvind’s strong foundation, drive sustainable growth, and raise the bar on execution through scaled digital capability and a high-performance culture.”

Rajarshi brings close to 30 years of leadership experience in the textile sector, covering business transformation, operational leadership, and innovation across large-scale manufacturing environments. He began his professional journey at Arvind as a Management Trainee and went on to build a 25-year career spanning Quality, Innovation, and Operations.

Prior to this role, he served as COO at Jindal Worldwide Ltd., where he oversaw operations and supply chain functions across Denim, Shirting, and Bottom Weights. Earlier, he held senior leadership positions at Welspun, including President & Business Head at Welspun Living and SVP at Welspun Flooring, where he led business performance initiatives, greenfield expansion, and productivity enhancement programs.

Rajarshi holds an M.Tech in Textile Engineering from IIT Delhi and a B.Tech in Textile Technology from the University of Calcutta.
