As India’s luxury retail industry expands rapidly, the need for skilled and customer-focused professionals is greater than ever. Addressing this gap, the Apparel, Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC), in collaboration with ITEES Singapore, has launched a specialized Luxury Fashion & Lifestyle Management Course at the Centre of Excellence (CoE), Kandivali, Mumbai.
This six-month advanced training program aims to prepare young professionals for careers in high-end fashion and premium apparel retail. The course combines classroom sessions, styling and grooming labs, retail store visits, and internships with leading luxury brands, providing real-world exposure to global fashion practices.
Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman, AMHSSC, stated, “With India emerging as a hub for luxury retail, there is a growing need for trained professionals who can meet international standards. This course equips our youth with the skills, exposure, and confidence required to excel in luxury fashion and lifestyle management, both domestically and globally.”
He added that the curriculum aligns with global retail standards and emphasizes communication, styling, sales etiquette, and customer relationship management—skills essential for success in high-value retail environments. The course also introduces learners to luxury trends, visual merchandising, and brand storytelling to ensure industry readiness.
The program reinforces India’s commitment to global skill-building and aims to create a new generation of luxury retail experts ready for both national and international markets.
The Luxury Fashion Consultant Vocational Course forms part of AMHSSC’s vision to develop specialized talent pools for India’s fashion and lifestyle sectors through its Centres of Excellence.
Applications are now open for the upcoming batch at the AMHSSC Centre of Excellence, Kandivali, Mumbai.
