The internet went crazy on the eve of the debut of Jacquemus’ ‘La Casa’ anniversary collection, which celebrated the French label’s 15th anniversary. The founder of the business, who goes by the same name, hinted that this may be the final presentation for the company.

Jacquemus has been tease Instagram fans with sneak peeks of the show’s site, Casa Malaparte on the island of Capri, in the run-up to today’s [Monday, June 10] event. Blackpink’s Jennie Kim (also known as Jennie Ruby Jane) held up a flowing turquoise dress in front of a window overlooking the Italian island’s shoreline and posed in a red towel among a carousel of photos that were uploaded to the brand’s official Instagram account over the weekend. However, the carousel’s last slide, which said, “Tomorrow I will present my last collection,” was the one that made the most noise. The program will be an unadulterated portrayal of Jacquemus.

The fashion Instagram account @ideservecouture, which broke the story initially, refuted the claim, saying that the message was really an error that should have read “latest” collection rather than “last.” Jacquemus has been contacted by FashionUnited for comment.

The newlywed, who shared the news of his twins’ arrival on Instagram in mid-April, could consider saying goodbye. Furthermore, since late last year, there have been rumors circulating that the designer may be considered for the role of creative director at Givenchy, in light of Matthew Williams’ departure from the Parisian fashion house. When Jacquemus shared a picture of Hubert de Givenchy’s office on his own Instagram early in December, it added fire to the rumors.
