Bemberg™ and Anita Dongre Collaborate Again to Launch BREATH Collection
Bemberg™ and Anita Dongre have renewed their decade-long collaboration with the launch of BREATH, a ready-to-wear collection featuring 18 key silhouettes shaped by a shared belief in craftsmanship, beauty and environmental care.
The collaboration arrives in a landmark year for Bemberg™, marking the 50th anniversary of the fibre’s exports to India. The milestone celebrates not only its long-standing presence in the Indian market but also the shared values that have shaped its relationship with designer Anita Dongre.

Nature-Inspired Fashion
BREATH translates the colours and rhythms of nature into contemporary, wearable designs. Its colour palette draws from the living world, spanning tropical greens, delicate fern tones and rainforest shades alongside the blues of clear skies and ocean depths.
The collection features feminine and meticulously crafted silhouettes designed for both day and evening. Draped stoles, cascading lengths, translucent sarees, asymmetric necklines and fluid hems create movement inspired by the natural flow of forests.
Designed with subtropical climates in mind, the collection places emphasis on lightness, comfort and ease, presenting these qualities as an expression of modern luxury.
Bemberg™ at the Heart of BREATH
Bemberg™ forms the foundation of the collection, offering a fibre designed to feel gentle against the skin and provide comfort. It is made through the transformation of cotton linter, a pre-consumer material, using a traceable and transparent closed-loop production process.
Bemberg™ holds RCS, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and ISO 14001 certifications. The fibre’s biodegradability in soil and marine environments under certain conditions has also been certified by a third-party testing organisation.
Through BREATH, these material qualities are integrated with Anita Dongre’s design approach, creating pieces intended to balance aesthetic expression, comfort and environmental consideration.

Anita Dongre has worked with Bemberg™ for ten years, with the relationship built around shared principles rather than trends. BREATH continues this association through a collection that connects craftsmanship with a conscious approach to materials and design.
