Each NIFT Graduate is Trained to Create Jobs for Next Generation: Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh

 The Convocation Ceremony for the graduating students of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Daman – Master of Fashion Management (MFM) Batch 2024-26 and Bachelor of Textile Design (B. Des. – TD) Batch 2022-26 – was held with grandeur in New Delhi.
The ceremony was graced by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, as the Chief Guest.
Merit awards and degree certificates were conferred upon the graduating students by the Union Minister for Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh.
Addressing the graduates, Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh said, “Each graduating student at NIFT is trained during their academic journey not just to seek jobs, but to create jobs for the upcoming generation as potential entrepreneurs.” He lauded NIFT’s role in making India a global hub for textile innovation, design, and entrepreneurship under the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The Graduation Pledge was administered to the students by Ms. Tanu Kashyap, IAS, Director General, NIFT.
The occasion was marked by the presence of Dr. Khushal Jangid, Director, NIFT Daman Campus, along with faculty, parents and graduating students from across NIFT campuses.
The ceremony celebrated not just academic achievement, but the beginning of a new journey for the young designers and managers to lead the future of the Indian fashion and textile industry.
