Outlast Technologies GmbH has introduced Bailey, an advanced textile engineered to deliver an instant cooling sensation combined with intelligent temperature regulation. Designed to go beyond conventional fabrics, Bailey offers a unique sensory experience that is immediately noticeable upon touch.

The material stands out for its exceptional heat absorption capacity and naturally cool surface. By instantly drawing excess body heat away from the skin, it creates a refreshing cooling effect, making it particularly effective in warm environments and next-to-skin applications.

This performance is achieved through the integration of Outlast® Temperature Regulation technology with a Lyocell base fabric. Known for its smooth texture and inherent cooling properties, Lyocell enhances the overall tactile experience, while the addition of Outlast® technology significantly increases the fabric’s effusivity, resulting in a pronounced cool-touch effect.

Bailey also features an impressive heat storage capacity of 7,500 J/m², enabling it to actively regulate temperature over time. The material absorbs, stores and releases heat as needed, reducing temperature fluctuations, minimising perspiration and maintaining a balanced microclimate for enhanced comfort.

Sustainability remains a key focus in Bailey’s development. The Lyocell fibres are derived primarily from renewable resources and require considerably less water during production compared to cotton. Additionally, the temperature-regulating capsules incorporate bio-based wax sourced from renewable materials, offering an environmentally responsible alternative to fossil-based inputs.

Visually, Bailey presents a clean, lightweight and refined aesthetic with a uniform structure that reflects its premium positioning. Manufactured in Europe, the textile adheres to stringent environmental and quality standards, with certifications including OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1 and OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN, ensuring safety for direct skin contact and transparency in production.

Thanks to its advanced material properties, Bailey is suitable for a wide range of applications, including bedding, orthopaedic products, apparel linings and various next-to-skin solutions.

With Bailey, Outlast introduces a textile innovation where performance is instantly perceptible, delivering a strong sensory impact that enhances both retail appeal and everyday usability.
