Marco Bruno Appointed Global R&D Head at Avgol Nonwovens

Marco Bruno has been appointed as the new Global R&D Head for the nonwovens business at Avgol, part of Indorama Ventures. With over two decades of experience across textiles and nonwovens, he brings strong expertise in high-technology textile substrates and nonwoven applications. He is also a named inventor on more than ten international patents focused on advanced breathable materials and innovative nonwoven engineering.

In his new role, Bruno will focus on deepening collaboration with both upstream and downstream partners across the value chain, ensuring that innovation delivers measurable value to customers. As an active member of Indorama Ventures’ global cross-business R&D network, he will work closely with teams developing next-generation fibres for nonwovens as well as specialists enhancing surfactants for technical and personal care uses.

Aligned with Indorama Ventures’ market-driven innovation strategy, Bruno aims to support solutions that address evolving industry trends and consumer needs, particularly within baby diapers, adult incontinence and feminine hygiene segments. Avgol’s latest developments in soft nonwovens, designed to meet diverse customer requirements, will be showcased at INDEX, the world’s leading nonwovens exhibition, scheduled to take place in May in Geneva, Switzerland.
