Crystal International Group Limited (“Crystal International” or “the Group”) is deepening its commitment to purposeful production. The Group continues to collaborate with global brands, suppliers, and partners across the garment manufacturing chain. Recently, it became a Partner Member of Textile Exchange, a global non-profit driving positive impacts on climate and nature across the textile and apparel industries.
This new partnership aligns with Crystal Sustainability Vision 2030, which focuses on climate action and circularity.
Expanding Sustainable Material Adoption
Crystal International has made strong progress in using sustainable materials. Over 90% of its factories hold certifications such as the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Organic Content Standard (OCS). These facilities offer customers a broad range of certified, eco-friendly options.
At the Group’s vertically integrated fabric mill in Vietnam, around 55% of raw materials are certified with GRS or Recycled Claim Standard (RCS). By joining Textile Exchange, Crystal aims to expand its adoption of preferred materials, further minimising its environmental footprint. The Group now joins more than 800 members working toward similar sustainability goals.
Driving Innovation and Circularity
Following the success of its CirClimate collection—which uses biodegradable, climate-adaptive fabrics made from sustainable wood pulp and recycled waste—the Group continues to explore advanced fibre solutions. These innovations align with Textile Exchange’s Preferred Fiber & Materials Matrix.
As part of its circularity vision, Crystal is also leading waste management initiatives. The newly launched Corporate Waste Management System Framework standardises waste management across factories, enhances recycling, and aligns with evolving customer expectations.
Five factories have piloted the sharing of textile waste data on the Reverse Resources platform. This initiative improves transparency and traceability while promoting textile-to-textile recycling.
Collaborative Path Forward
“By combining Textile Exchange’s tools with our own expertise, we aim to collaborate with industry pioneers to develop more nature-friendly fashion products,” said Catherine Chiu, Vice President – Corporate Quality & Sustainability at Crystal International.
Looking ahead, Crystal International will continue to work with partners and innovators to develop responsible materials and strengthen the circular value chain, supporting the industry’s transition toward sustainable textile solutions.
