Bombay Dyeing, one of India’s most iconic home textile brands with a 145-year legacy, is intensifying its action against counterfeit products. Recent raids were carried out across Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kerala, and most recently at a major mall in Mumbai, as part of the brand’s ongoing efforts to safeguard customers and its heritage.

The company revealed that counterfeiters are misusing its brand identity by selling products with a purple logo, while the original Bombay Dyeing logo is blue. To prevent customers from being deceived, the brand urges buyers to verify the logo before making purchases.

Counterfeit products not only result in financial loss to customers but also compromise the brand’s reputation for quality and trust. By cracking down on these unethical practices, Bombay Dyeing reinforces its pledge that authentic craftsmanship and genuine quality remain unmatched.

Speaking on the matter, Khiroda Jena, CFO of Bombay Dyeing, said, “Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to fight against counterfeit products. This is about more than protecting our brand – it’s about protecting the faith millions of families have placed in us. Every household that chooses Bombay Dyeing deserves to experience the true quality and authenticity that define our brand.”

Looking ahead, the company plans to intensify its partnerships with authorities, retail partners, and industry stakeholders to build a cleaner and fairer marketplace. This initiative reflects Bombay Dyeing’s enduring promise to deliver trust, timeless design, and uncompromising quality.
