Starting on October 8, 2024, AYANA Bali, the island’s leading integrated resort, will be raising the standard for opulent ecotourism when Tevana Garden officially opens. Embracing the true meaning of its namesake AYANA – meaning ‘place of refuge’ – the resort has committed over six hectares of land to create a garden oasis where resort guests can enjoy a pleasantly sensory nature experience. Visitors will experience a level of closeness to nature through its walking trails and resting places that is unmatched in South Bali, all while taking in the island’s abundant biodiversity, which includes over 80 types of tropical plants.
Tevana, which means “divine” or “godly” in Sanskrit, is a place where one might experience a connection to the divine. This is sensed upon arriving at Tevana Garden, where guests are welcomed by a visually arresting water feature in the plaza at the entry. Visitors enter a world of natural wonder via a small, meandering pathway that eventually ends in the sounds of chirping birds, a light breeze blowing through the trees, and footsteps on the pebbled path below.
While exploring, guests will come across the Viewpoint Tower, which provides expansive views of the ocean and Jimbaran’s verdant surroundings. The adorable treehouse playground will thrill families, providing a wonderful environment for kids to play and explore. A little natural grotto highlights the area’s geological features in a subtle way, adding to the garden’s allure.
Tevana Garden was designed by Kazuma Hasegawa, co-representative, landscape architect, and professor at Kyoto University of the Arts, together with Maiko Shiromizu, co-representative and landscape architect—both from SAHA Landscape Design Office, based in Osaka, Japan, seamlessly blending Balinese charm with Japanese landscape techniques. While celebrating Bali’s natural beauty, the garden subtly integrates Japanese influences, as seen in its careful layout, precise measurements of pathways and structures, and meticulous gardening.
“AYANA Bali is committed to hospitality which blends nature and luxury in perfect harmony,” says Giordano Faggioli, General Manager of AYANA Bali. “Whether you’re planning an unforgettable event, or looking for a serene escape, AYANA Bali, with the addition of Tevana Garden, offers an experience that is truly nature-centered, allowing guests to disconnect and rejuvenate during their holiday.”
Enhancing the cultural experience, Tevana Garden is conveniently located next to SAKA Museum, AYANA Bali’s cultural hub and learning precinct. By combining these experiences – along with other activities on the property, such as traditional dance at Kampoeng Bali, a jamu workshop at AYANA Farm or boreh treatment at AYANA Spa – AYANA Bali guests can enjoy a rich Balinese cultural immersion.
Tevana Garden is a captivating new addition to AYANA Bali’s world-class offerings. Experience its magic by booking a stay at one of AYANA Bali’s four hotels – AYANA Resort, AYANA Villas, AYANA Segara or RIMBA by AYANA – and enjoy access to the island’s largest variety of luxury facilities in one property.
