An Important Turning Point for Sustainable DesignVitrA is pleased to present the first washbasin made entirely of recycled ceramic in history, a ground-breaking accomplishment in environmentally conscious and sustainable design. VitrA’s dedication to limiting resource use, decreasing waste, and optimizing contribution to a circular economy is demonstrated by this unique product.

The introduction of this washbasin represents a significant milestone in the industry, being the first to be produced entirely from recycled materials. The new basin is made from a combination of broken ceramic and waste sludge that would otherwise be discarded.

According to VitrA’s Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis, this novel production method lowers the environmental impact of fossil fuel usage and global warming by 30% for each product. VitrA saves about 5 kg of raw materials per basin and improves electricity consumption by 38% by repurposing items that would otherwise end up in landfills.

The VitrA washbasins are available in five different shapes (oval, square, round, TV, and pebble) with a classy matt taupe finish. Every basin has a slightly textured finish that amplifies the recycled material’s tactile effect and visual appeal.

The environmentally friendly packaging of these washbasins is also in line with our sustainability objectives. Our environmental ideals are upheld in every step of the product’s life, from conception to delivery, thanks to the product packaging, which is 100% recyclable and FSC certified.

VitrA’s 100% recycled ceramic washbasin is more than just a product; it is a testament to the brand’s dedication to redefining sustainable design. By turning waste into a valuable resource, VitrA is not only reducing its environmental footprint but also setting a new standard in the industry.
