RajiRamniq made Janhvi Kapoor’s unique Punjabi kurta ensemble in less than a day.

Cue Janhvi Kapoor, who has been teasingly experimenting with costumes inspired by cricket, fitting the premise of her next romantic sports drama film, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. embraced the style of the movie in May 2024, wearing a colorful kurta that RajiRamniq had set.

From Zendaya’s tennis outfits to Margot Robbie’s Barbie-esque appearances, celebrities frequently use literal or method dressing to honor the project they are endorsing. Kapoor also continued to enjoy herself with fashion while on her press trip. She collaborated with famous stylist Ami Patel to meticulously construct a number of iconic ensembles as a tribute to her movie, one of which was a Kanjeevaram sari in the Indian cricket team’s jersey color.

The label RajiRamniq has customized this Punjabi salwar kameez. “The gorgeous, hand-embroidered kurta with sequin and gota details is a highlight of Janhvi’s ensemble. The yellow kurta is worn with a “Mahi” organza dupatta that has been expertly made and customized. We added tassels made of cricket balls to the leheriya dupatta. The ensemble is finished with a pair of rani pink Patiala salwar. The designers of the RajiRamniq brand, Raji Tangri Sharma and Ramniq Tangri Khatri, say, “We made this custom piece in just 24 hours—a record time for our studio.”

The actor was going for a traditional Punjabi look, which is reflected in her hair, makeup, and accessories. Her chandbaali earrings, by the label Sheetal Zaveri, include silver charms with cricket-inspired designs, such as a “Mahi” jersey and different sports gear. She accessorized her ensemble with matching pink and yellow Heer juttis, zardozi, a jaal of salma sitara, shimmering sequins, and shimmering gold beads that formed Persian patterns of garden flowers and anar bel from Needledust. Her tiny bindi and rani pink hair paranda had us completely enamored.
