The British Fashion Council (BFC), which is working to revitalize its mission, has unveiled a new concept for London Fashion Week (LFW), which is scheduled to happen from June 7 to June 9.

The council stated in the announcement that the event, which will be headline sponsored by 1664 Blanc, “aims to ignite a cultural moment in London” and provides a venue for a range of British designers and “brands with a focus on the depth and breadth of menswear business in the UK.”

The BFC ultimately said that the goal of LFW June going forward was to highlight many communities and cultures that have contributed “a rich and significant contribution to the British fashion industry.”

In order to highlight the first three cultures the organization has selected, BFC will be holding a curated program at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on June 7. This program will include an exhibition, panel discussions, and cultural events.

Black culture and self-love; South Asian culture with a focus on textile and craftsmanship; and queer culture honoring voices from the trans community will be touched on during the event in collaboration with three guest curators.
