On July 20 in Noida, the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts will officially open the second iteration of its trade event, GI Fair India. The business-to-business event will include handcrafted clothing, accessories, and gifts from all around India through July 24.

“Exhibitors at the fair will share backgrounds and stories about their products, crafts, and hand skills,” stated Neeraj Khanna, vice chairman of the EPCH, in a press statement. “India GI Fair seeks to connect these priceless local goods, aptly dubbed Legal Local, to connoisseurs and clientele in India as well as the international market.”

Among the product categories available at the event are ethnic apparel, wellness items, handloom fabrics, home furnishings, and fashion accessories. Sambhal Horn Craft, Karnataka’s Bidriware and Illkal sarees, Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu Shawls, and Rajasthan’s Sanganeri hand block printing will all be notable products.

The government’s Ministries of Commerce and Industry and Textiles are supporting the event, which will take place at the India Expo Centre in Noida. The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation and the Uttarakhand Handloom and Handicraft Development Council are two of the institutions that will exhibit enterprises from several Indian states.
