Zalando Expands into Designer Fashion with Exclusive “Designer Experience”

Online retail giant Zalando is making a foray into the realm of designer fashion with its new “Designer Experience.” This curated space on Zalando’s platform acts as a luxurious boutique-style destination, showcasing a diverse array of designer brands, including heritage, advanced contemporary, high-end streetwear, rising stars, and timeless classics. The roster features renowned names such as Lardini, Bally, Victoria Beckham, Ralph Lauren, and Emporio Armani, among others.

To enhance this upscale venture, Zalando has entered a year-long partnership with British-Japanese musician and actor Rina Sawayama, who will serve as an ambassador for this elevated offering. The move reflects Zalando’s commitment to providing a superior customer experience and serving as a source of inspiration for fashion enthusiasts.

The Director of Designer & Luxury at Zalando, Lena-Sophie Roeper, highlighted the growing interest in designer brands on the platform, emphasizing the opportunity to become a go-to destination for both loyal customers and first-time purchasers seeking contemporary and luxury items.

The Designer destination on Zalando aims to cater to those passionate about designer fashion and newcomers alike, offering a platform for designer brands to share their stories, unveil collections, and showcase collaborations in a curated space.

In addition to the Designer Experience, the partnership with Rina Sawayama will involve collaborative efforts throughout the year, aligning with key moments in the fashion calendar. The launch of the partnership includes a creative campaign capturing Rina’s multifaceted personality through a unique lens.

Zalando’s move into designer fashion follows its collaboration with Highsnobiety last year for “Stories on Zalando,” which spotlighted designer brands and exclusive collaborations, signaling the platform’s ongoing commitment to offering diverse and compelling fashion experiences.
