The global synthetic yarn market is forecast to reach USD 287 billion by 2030, expanding at a CAGR of 4 percent between 2024 and 2030. This upward trajectory reflects synthetic yarn’s stronghold in the textile value chain, driven by cost efficiency and versatile performance across applications. Rising demand for sustainable and high-performance fibres for sportswear, medical textiles and home furnishings will be a central focus at Yarn Expo Spring 2026.

Scheduled from 11 to 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the event is set to bring together key Asia-Pacific textile players seeking advanced sourcing solutions. More than 600 exhibitors across 27,000 sqm are expected, creating a platform for suppliers and buyers to connect, tap into high-growth segments and accelerate the shift towards eco-innovation.

Sustainability Reshaping the Synthetic Yarn Landscape

Sustainability is increasingly defining the synthetic yarn sector as brands and manufacturers work to reduce environmental impact and align with evolving consumer expectations. This transition is fuelling rapid growth in recycled PET fibres, biodegradable polymers and cleaner production technologies, positioning eco-conscious materials as high-potential categories. Circularity has become a strategic priority across the industry, supported by greater investment in recycled and bio-based yarns for greener textile solutions.

Against this backdrop, Yarn Expo Spring 2026 will function as a strategic meeting point for regional leaders including China, India and Japan to explore next-generation yarns and collaborate on scalable sustainable production.

Returning fringe features such as the Green Fibres Certification Display Area and the Textile Industry New Products Release Forum, which drew strong engagement previously, will again spotlight emerging fibre innovations, raise industry awareness and foster partnerships that support sustainable transformation.

Asian Fibre Leaders to Present Advanced Solutions

As sustainability and performance remain central to global textile development, the fair will host leading synthetic yarn and fibre suppliers showcasing innovations in eco-friendly materials and high-performance textiles for activewear, performance garments and technical applications.

A vertically integrated supplier to major brands including Nike and Adidas, Everest produces textured polyester and nylon yarns with a strong sustainability focus. Its portfolio features traceable recycled PET, ocean-recycled yarns and modified recycled polyester (rEM2) designed for low-temperature dyeing, helping reduce water and carbon consumption.

Shaoxing Guozhou Textile New Material Co Ltd (China)
Specialising in dyed synthetic and blended yarns, including melange types, the company is recognised for large-scale production of VORTEX® spun melange yarns. These yarns offer high strength, low hairiness and strong pilling resistance, making them suitable for knitted and woven apparel fabrics.
