Yarn Expo Spring 2026 is set to showcase innovation and global sourcing opportunities as more than 600 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions prepare to participate in Asia’s leading yarn and fibre trade fair. Scheduled from 11–13 March 2026 at Hall 8.2 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the event will cover 27,000 sqm of exhibition space.

This year’s edition will see participation from suppliers across China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Taiwan, the UK, and Vietnam, along with new exhibiting countries including Bangladesh, Egypt, Japan, and the United States. Exhibitors will present a wide spectrum of products such as eco-friendly cotton yarns, recycled and regenerated fibres, and advanced textile materials. These innovations will be showcased through the International Zone and seven specialised product zones, enabling buyers to efficiently explore global sourcing options. The exhibition will also feature a vibrant fringe programme with trend presentations and industry forums designed to encourage knowledge sharing.

Commenting ahead of the event, Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, expressed optimism about the strong exhibitor turnout. She noted that participation has increased compared to the previous year, making the 2026 edition one of the most comprehensive Spring shows so far. According to her, the event will strengthen international sourcing partnerships while highlighting the innovations shaping the yarn and fibre sector, particularly in areas such as sustainability and high-performance materials.

Structured sourcing zones for buyers

To streamline the sourcing experience, the exhibition floor has been organised into product-focused zones, allowing visitors to navigate efficiently from large-scale chemical fibre suppliers to premium natural yarn producers and regional specialties.

The International Zone will host more than 70 exhibitors presenting high-quality yarn and fibre products from global suppliers. Prominent participants include Cotton Council International (USA), NORGIIS Group LLC (UK), Toray Industries Inc (Japan), and XDD Textile Company Limited (Vietnam).

Within this zone, the India Pavilion, organised by the Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (Texprocil), will feature nearly 30 exhibitors showcasing diverse offerings such as pure cotton carded, combed and compact yarns, viscose and synthetic fibres, recycled and organic yarns, spandex, and blended yarns including polyester-cotton. This pavilion provides buyers with greater access to innovative Indian yarn products.

The Cashmere Yarn Zone will spotlight premium cashmere and cashmere-blend yarns designed for knitwear and fashion applications. Exhibitors such as Shandong Dashing Cashmere Products and Zhejiang Sunyouo Industrial will present developments in this luxury fibre segment.

Meanwhile, the Chemical Fibre Zone will feature more than 230 Chinese fibre manufacturers, including Fujian Cyclone Technology, Shenghong Group, and Sinopec Group, demonstrating advancements in fibre productivity and performance. Anhui Xinyuan Biotechnology will introduce bio-based polylactic acid (PLA) fibres, a biodegradable material known for its low carbon footprint along with functional benefits such as antibacterial properties, moisture management, UV resistance, and reduced static.

The Fancy Yarn Zone will bring together over 150 enterprises showcasing stylish seasonal yarns. Key exhibitors include Ease Loong Tech, Jiangsu New Victor Industrial, and Yulin Yuefang Bleaching and Dyeing, which specialises in yarn dyeing technologies for decorative yarn applications.

Additional zones dedicated to green linen yarn, silk yarn, and quality wool yarn will highlight innovations from companies such as Zhejiang Tongwei Textile, Hubei Jinghua Textile Group, and Shengzhou Dingshun Silk, combining modern textile technology with traditional natural fibres.

The Natural Cotton Yarn Zone will focus on sustainable cotton production and textile technology. More than 80 spinning companies, including Linqing Sanhe Textiles Group, Shandong Weiqiao Textile Technology, and Wuhu Fuchun Dye and Weave, will showcase cotton yarns across various weights and spinning techniques.

Together, these specialised zones will provide buyers with a comprehensive selection of yarn and fibre solutions, catering to both large-scale manufacturing needs and specialised textile applications.

Trend insights and innovation forums

In addition to the product showcases, Yarn Expo Spring 2026 will host a series of trend presentations, product launches, and innovation forums designed to highlight emerging developments within the fibre industry.

The China Yarns Fashion Trends showcase will present future yarn trends, offering inspiration and market insights for textile enterprises. The Enterprise Product Launch segment will feature new innovations from leading companies and industry associations, with Sateri Group among the key participants unveiling new materials.

Another highlight is the New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Forum, which will bring together academics, corporate leaders, and industry specialists to analyse emerging textile materials, sustainable fibre developments, and high-end functional fibres.

Visitors will also be able to explore the Tongkun · China Fibre Fashion Trend 2026/2027 showcase, presenting cutting-edge domestic fibre innovations and their applications across downstream textile sectors.

Yarn Expo Spring is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd in partnership with the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT. The event will run concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC, and PH Value, creating strong synergies and expanded business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers.
