On June 7, 2024, Yarn Expo Shenzhen closed, bringing an end to South China’s first summer sourcing platform of the year. The three-day show, which was held in conjunction with PH Value and Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, drew about 20,000 visitors from 45 different nations and regions. The expo, which took up 1,600 square metres of display space at the Shenzhen Convention and display Centre (Futian), featured more than 70 exhibitors in seven notable zones, including Chemical Fibre, Overseas Yarn, Cashmere Yarn, Wool Yarn, Knit Yarn, and Fancy Yarn. Sustainability and innovation were hot topics of conversation at almost 20 peripheral events and booths.

The general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., Ms. Wilmet Shea, said, “I am delighted to reflect on this successful edition of Yarn Expo Shenzhen, which serves as a good example of how Messe Frankfurt continuously enhances the fairgoer experience, listens to the needs of the industry, and adapts to the ever-changing landscape.”We have decided to move the event to June in order to provide exhibitors with a new window of opportunity between the spring and autumn sourcing seasons. Moving to the central business district of Shenzhen also provided a great environment for building relationships and expanding business prospects.

Located in the centre of Shenzhen, one of the major textile cities in China, the expo gave industry participants access to the dynamic energy of the yarn and fibre ecosystem. The integrated fairs, spanning three rooms, gave buyers the opportunity to source products all the way upstream, from fibres to high-quality knitwear, apparel materials, and clothing.

Yarn Expo Shenzhen skillfully showcased the most recent developments in the sector, emphasising the growing demand for creative and ecological goods. While noteworthy lectures at the New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Forum included The Green Innovation of Ternura® and Interpretation of China Fibres Fashion Trends 2024/2025 – Outdoor Sports, the New Green Fibre Materials zone offered a specialised platform to sustainable exhibitors.
