Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 is set to return to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 25–27 August 2026, reaffirming its position as a key global platform for the yarn and fibre industry.

The upcoming edition will bring together an extensive international network of exhibitors and buyers, showcasing advancements in fibre technology, sustainable materials, and innovative textile applications. The previous edition attracted over 22,000 visitors and nearly 580 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions, reflecting its strong global relevance in textile sourcing and development.

This year’s event will feature a broad product spectrum spanning advanced fibres, eco-focused yarns, and next-generation textile solutions. Specialised zones will highlight key categories such as cashmere, chemical fibres, cotton, fancy yarns, green linen yarn, silk yarn, and wool, offering targeted sourcing opportunities for global buyers.

Wilmet Shea highlighted that the fair continues to serve as a critical platform for accessing evolving yarn and fibre trends, enabling industry participants to identify new growth opportunities through curated exhibitions, forums, and trend showcases.

China’s continued dominance in global textile trade further strengthens the fair’s importance, with the country accounting for a significant share of global textile and apparel exports and maintaining a highly integrated manufacturing and logistics ecosystem. This positions the event as a strategic hub for both international sourcing and innovation exchange.

The International Zone will feature leading global suppliers, including Cotton Council International (USA), PT. Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk (Indonesia), and Toray Industries Inc (Japan), providing buyers access to premium materials and diversified sourcing options.

Exhibitor feedback from previous editions underscores the fair’s value in connecting with global buyers and understanding evolving market demands. Participants have highlighted increased interest in natural fibres, traceability, and sustainable production driven by both regulatory changes and consumer awareness.

Industry representatives such as Muhammad Mubeen and Jimad Khan have emphasised the fair’s role in enabling market expansion, networking, and product development across global textile value chains.

Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will be held alongside Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, CHIC, and PH Value, creating a comprehensive sourcing ecosystem that connects the fibre, fabric, fashion, and knitted garment industries under one platform.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, the fair continues to strengthen its role as a global meeting point for sustainable innovation, trade collaboration, and textile industry growth.
